Jyunbugspeaks arrives in Taipei!

Just arrived in Taipei, Taiwan! After an exhausting 16 hours on the plane and in several airports we have finally arrived at this bustling metropolis. Fortunately for us we have good friends, Angela and Roger that picked us up and will be our tour guides for the duration of our Taiwan trip. Travel tip: Try to visit places that you have friends or contacts. Local people know where the best place to visit and eat. Like for example, this afternoon we had lunch at a famous Taiwanese restaurant called Ding Tai Fung. It was rated very high in several eating sites that I checked on line. True enough the restaurant did not disappoint. Amazing cuisine and we got to try several dishes that they were well known for. One, pork dumplings that were filled with their own juices as it is steamed. With a little bit of thinly sliced ginger, soy sauce and red vinegar to dunk into, they would burst when popped in your mouth. Delish! Second, they have a bunch of smaller side dishes like spicy pickled cucumber and sour cabbage both were awesome when combined with the flavorful but mild dumplings. I highly recommend this place and judging by the crowds in front I’m not the only one who knew about this place.

Next up, dinner at the Toilet Cafe…no seriously it exists and I’m sooo looking forward to this lol.
